Welcome to our Silkscreen workshop in Oslo
We at Where in Oslo – Super Social are excited to be working again with Blank Space. This time will we introduce you to the wonderful world of silkscreen printing!
This class is meant as an intro to the complicated process of silkscreen, and will give you a taste of what it’s like to create an image and print it – start to finish!
What will we do during the Silk screen workshop
We will be working with pre-made images and walk you through the entire process: The different kinds of screens and inks, how to create separations, how to coat a screen properly, how to burn an image, and – PRINTING! We will walk you through the types of problems that can occur while printing and how to solve them, as well as give you some tips for when you are working with your own images.
Silk screen supplies and equipment
We will be printing with water based ink on paper, but will begin discussions on how to transfer this knowledge to printing on textiles – for example, on t-shirts.
This class will also be working with pre-made images, made especially for the Holiday Season, so each person will get to leave the class with a few of their own prints! You will not need to bring any silk screen printing materials with you – we have everything needed, from silk screen printing machine to silk screen equipment.
We supply everything! You are welcome to bring a notebook, if you like to take notes.
